Dear Ms. Yaruss:
Just a short note to let you know how much I enjoyed the recital. Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to introduce myself or speak with you after the recital. I am delighted that Margaux is making such great progress. Lately I have noticed in her recordings and especially Tuesday night that her voice has never sounded better since she has been working with you. Thank you for all your help and keep up the good work!
Warmest Regards,
Ellen Reynolds

Carey is a great to work with, has a positive influence on the recording process and has a sweet yet powerful voice. Absolutely recommend her and will be working with her again soon.

Anyone who listens to Carey sing knows she is a talented vocalist. Yet Carey is also extremely gifted as a teacher. Her knowledge of vocal technique for multiple musical styles allows the student to find his/her unique sound. She is both patient and steadfast, challenging her students to reach their full potential. Even the shyest of "shower singers" will blossom under Carey's guidance. I feel fortunate to call her both teacher and friend.
Betsy Green: Voice student (May 6, 2009)
Carey's a great vocal teacher!

Well...I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be saying hello lover...or telling you how amazing it has been working with you! I have such a difference in my voice and my morale since i have been with your glorious studio! So everyone use Carey!!
Katrina Foy, voice student (May 6, 2009)
Carey is an amazing voice teacher! She really knows what she's talking about and is very patient and nice. She also has an amazing voice herself.

Carey,
From elementary school on, you have been sharing your lovely vocal skills, your intuitive stylistic interpretations of songs, your desire to be the best that you can be, and your upbeat attitude with students and colleagues. When you sing, you seem to be opening your soul to the world. Congratulations on your
awesome achievements!
Chappaqua, NY Public Schools 1972-1997 - Linda Jolly, Vocal Music Teacher (Sep 2, 2008)
Carey is a very gifted, patient, and impassioned teacher, always adjusting to the individual needs and capabilities of her students. She will challenge you to move beyond your comfort zone, and perhaps unleash from within yourself the singer you can truly be.
Carly DiGiovanni, Voice Student (Aug 27, 2008)
So thanks to you and your voice, I can't that Alabama song out of my head. It's like my new favorite song. I think you sound so awesome. Your voice is really warm and full in it's lower register-which I think is why it works well for a country song.
Really good job!
Dave Cabral, Violist (Aug 26, 2008)
Carey Yaruss is a fantastic vocalist with a wide range and powerful sound. But most importantly, she possesses the unique ability to
reach her audience with her engaging and energetic stage presence.
She is a huge force in a small package!
Voice Faculty, Berklee College of Music - Joanne Whitaker (Aug 26, 2008)
Before meeting Carey I was rather hopeless in singing in tune, and as such I feared even singing along to the radio with friends. At our first lesson Carey put me at ease and assured me I had nothing to worry about, and she ended up being right. After only a few classes I already noticed a vast improvement in singing in tune and in my range. (I didn't even know I had range to begin with!) She's also one cool chick.
Roger Cormier, voice student (Aug 25, 2008)
Carey’s voice speaks straight to one’s heart, truly a blessing!
Follow-up to recording session "Celebrate America" - Tim Janis, Composer (Aug 22, 2008)
For a gal who was singing in my hall way and given so little time your vocals are incredible.
My big gun songwriting friend was immediately taken. He asked "who's the singer?" and then gave that approving smirk.
Follow-up to recording session for Alabama Bound - Richard Pearce, songwriter (Aug 20, 2008)
Your voice sounds really powerful and the orchestration, to my ears, sets the table beautifully for each course that's served up.
This song is gonna be in my head all night. Damn us!
